布蘭迪 是英國人，是一名衛理公會牧師。他最後擔任牧師的地點是紐約州洛克伍德，在那裡服務了兩年，之後因病去世。

作曲: John S. Norris (1844-1907) 

約翰·諾里斯 牧師出生於英國懷特島西考斯，幼年移民美國，並在加拿大接受教育。 1868年，他在加拿大安大略省奧沙瓦被按立為衛理公會牧師。在接下來的十年裡，他先後在加拿大、紐約州和威斯康辛州的教會擔任牧師。他最終在伊利諾伊州芝加哥去世。
